My name is Michael Seville aka DJ Mikey. I was born in Reading after my parents came here from Jamaica in the early 60’s. My dad loved music so I got the vibe from him. The first record I remember was owned by my brother Keith and it was Jimmy Lindsay – Easy, the first record I bought myself was Billy Boyo, One Spliff a day and my first DJ set was in Reading when I was about 14 years old with borrowed speakers. My sound system is called Family Connection and will celebrate its 27th birthday this year! I play many genres, but Roots and Culture is my first love. I share the music I love to create a positive vibe.
